We have provided hundreds of specialist structural surveys across England and Wales following referrals from RICs Level 3 surveys.
We heard so many stories of clients complaining that their RICS reports failed to explain the causes of the problems identified, and heard their frustration that they had to obtain a second survey from a structural engineer in order to find a solution.

If you have been recommended a Structural Engineer’s survey/report by a RICS Surveyor, bank or insurer then this is the report you need.
our services would include:
a review of the RICS survey (if available),
a desk-based search on the history of the property and the local geology,
a site inspection to appraise the current condition and where appropriate compare this to any repair works carried out previously,
provision of a report summarising the above information and our advice.
The report will include a description of the defects, our opinion on their severity, the cause, whether they are due to foundation movement, whether the damage is likely to be covered by insurance and the type of remedial works or further investigations that we consider necessary.

This is equivalent to a Level 3 survey, as would be carried out by a RICS Surveyor, combined with a general structural condition survey. This is particularly well suited to historic properties which may require refurbishment or properties with suspected issues.
We inspect:
Roof structure and coverings
Garden, boundary walls and outbuildings
Main walls
Floors
High level review of connected services (gas, fuse box, water and drainage), excluding specialist testing.
Chimney stacks
Signs of damp and water ingress.
Rainwater pipes
Dangerous or defective materials
Our report will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the condition of the property and any remedial actions that we consider to be required.

We can provide party wall notices for £300. In the event of a dispute we can act as Building Owner’s, Adjoining Owner’s or Agreed Surveyor.
